Description

MAGUS PRO is an analog distortion pedal built around a circuit that recreates the slow slew rate of the LM308 op-amp using modern, readily available components. The slow slew rate is intended to keep harsh overtones and interference out of the signal at high gain settings.

A Treble Filter control works as a high-cut filter for shaping the top end. Three modes change the character of the distortion. Classic mode gives a high-gain sound with punchy mids and a tight low end. Turbo mode switches in LED clipping diodes for more headroom, less saturation and a higher output level. Fat mode boosts the low end and reshapes the upper mids for hard rock tones.

The pedal uses true bypass, so the signal is left untouched when it is switched off. It is housed in a compact metal enclosure, and the jack sockets and power input sit on the top of the housing to save space on a pedalboard.
