Prohibited items
Version 2026-10-02. In force from 2026-10-02.
In short
- On Market you can sell your own music, audio, lighting and DJ gear, instruments, records and accessories.
- You may not offer stolen, counterfeit, dangerous or legally prohibited items.
- Spotted a listing like that? Tap “Report” on the listing or write to us.
1. Prohibited
- Stolen items and items you have no right to sell.
- Counterfeits and copies sold as originals (e.g. fake brands, logos, certificates).
- Items with removed or altered serial numbers.
- Dangerous electrical equipment: repaired or modified in a way that could cause electric shock or fire, and products recalled by the manufacturer for safety reasons.
- Software, licences, sound libraries and other digital content whose licence doesn't allow transfer, and pirated copies.
- Items made from protected species (e.g. ivory, certain rosewood species) without the required documents.
- Fireworks and explosives, weapons, drugs, prescription medicines.
- Items that don't exist (pre-sales, “made to order”) or that aren't the specific item you have.
2. Prohibited actions
- Other people's photos or photos from the internet instead of photos of your own item.
- A misleading description, fake price or title.
- Inviting someone to pay or make a deal outside Market.
3. How to report
- Members: on the listing tap “Report” and pick a reason: fake or replica item, photo taken from the web, forbidden item, low-quality photos, misleading listing, or other. You can send up to 10 reports per day.
- Anyone, even without an account: write to market@soundium.com — see Reports and complaints.
4. What happens
The report is handled by the Soundium team (some actions may be taken by an automated tool supervised by a person), which can hide the listing, warn the seller or suspend the account. Only a person suspends an account. The seller gets an email with the reason and can appeal the decision.
