Description
This is a small-bodied, non-cutaway acoustic-electric from Taylor's GS Mini line. It pairs a solid Hawaiian koa top with layered koa back and sides, finished in matte. The short 23-1/2" scale and compact body are aimed at easy playing and transport, and the body uses X bracing.
The neck is Neo-Tropical mahogany with a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard and bridge, 4mm dot acrylic inlays and a varnish finish. Hardware includes a NuBone nut, Micarta saddle, black bridge pins and Taylor chrome tuners. It is strung with D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze mediums (.013-.056).
Amplification comes from the built-in ES-B pickup and preamp, which includes a chromatic digital tuner with an LED display. The battery sits in the preamp, accessed through a side door. A structured gig bag is included, and a left-handed version is offered. It is built in Taylor's Tecate, Mexico factory.
