The CD-BT2 plays audio CDs (CD-DA, CD-R, CD-RW) in 8 cm and 12 cm sizes and is built for practising bass along with recordings. Variable Speed Audition changes tempo from +16 to -50% in 1% steps without altering pitch, while a separate key control moves pitch by up to 6 semitones either way, with a 50-cent fine tune. A Flash Back function repeats up to the previous 5 seconds, and loop modes include single loop, all loop and seamless IN-OUT loop.
A bass input on a 1/4" jack accepts a bass or a microphone, with its own volume and level meter. Built-in tools include a bass canceller with selectable pan point and frequency range, 10 user effect banks, a chromatic tuner with 435 to 445 Hz calibration, a 3-octave tone oscillator and a metronome from 40 to 220 BPM. Monitoring options include mono monitoring of the CD and a split mode that puts the CD on one channel and the input on the other.
Outputs are a 1/8" stereo line output and a 1/8" stereo headphone output. A 128 x 64 dot-matrix LCD shows CD-Text titles, elapsed or remaining time and level meters. The unit runs on four AA batteries or on the optional PS-P520 adapter.
