Gen X-2

The GEN X-2 is a battery-powered analog synth played with an attached stylus on a two-octave keyboard. It builds on the GEN X-1 by adding external control: a full-size keyboard or a DAW sequencer can play it, and its own CV and gate outputs can drive modular and semi-modular equipment.
Sound shaping includes an LFO with square and triangle waves, a resonant low-pass filter, an attack/decay envelope, pulse width modulation and two sub-octave switches for added low end. An analog delay with time, repeats and level controls covers short slapback through to longer echoes. A multifunction expression strip lets several effects be combined, and an octave selection switch is included.
The unit has a built-in speaker, a headphone output and audio line output, plus a line input. Seven 3.5 mm jack sockets handle CV and gate control. It runs on four AA batteries and has a metal and plastic body.
