  • Analog active 2-way crossover, 50–120 Hz in 6 steps
  • Low slope 24 dB/oct; Mid-Hi slope 12 or 24 dB/oct, or off
  • Variable phase control, Low Cut at 20 Hz, sub level ±10 dB
  • XLR and RCA inputs; balanced XLR Low and Mid-Hi outputs
  • AMP CTL standby control for up to four 12 V trigger devices

Description

The Crossover divides the signal into a Low section for a bass speaker or subwoofer (mono or stereo) and a Mid-Hi section for the main speakers. Both crossover frequencies are set separately in six steps between 50 Hz and 120 Hz. The Low filter has a fixed slope of 24 dB per octave, while the Mid-Hi filter switches between 12 and 24 dB per octave or can be turned off so the main speakers run full-range.

A switchable phase control (0° or -180° with a variable adjustment) aligns the subwoofer with the main speakers and drops out of the signal path when off. A Low Cut filter removes content below 20 Hz, and the subwoofer level can be changed from -10 dB to +10 dB. Two mechanical VU meters show the input levels, with a switch to adapt the display to different signal levels. The audio stages use SPL's 120V (VOLTAiR) technology with +/-60 V operating voltage.

Inputs are balanced XLR and gold-plated RCA. Outputs for Low and Mid-Hi are balanced XLR. The AMP CTL connection switches standby on up to four devices with a 12 V trigger input together with the Crossover, and can also let a preamplifier switch the Crossover's own standby.
