EW-DX 835-S Set

This set pairs one EW-DX EM 2 rackmount receiver (two channels) with two EW-DX SKM-S handheld transmitters. Each handheld carries an MMD 835 dynamic cardioid capsule and has a mute switch. Two BA 70 rechargeable batteries are supplied, giving up to 12 hours of operation per charge.

The system uses the SePAC codec, which provides a 134 dB input dynamic range, so transmitter gain does not need to be set, and a wireless latency of 1.9 ms. Audio is protected with AES 256 encryption. An AutoScan function checks the surroundings and assigns frequencies with equidistant channel spacing: 600 kHz in Standard Mode for up to 146 channels, or 300 kHz in Link Density Mode for up to 293 channels. Switching bandwidth reaches 88 MHz. The handheld has function buttons with a button lock and an E-Ink display that keeps showing parameters when the batteries are removed.

The receiver is network enabled for control with Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Wireless System Manager and third-party media control systems through a plug-in. The Smart Assist App connects over Bluetooth Low Energy at distances up to 25 meters. The transmitters have charging contacts for in-device charging with the optional CHG 70N charger, and the capsule interface accepts a range of Sennheiser and Neumann capsules sold separately.
