Description
The LX-9 is an upright-cabinet digital piano that generates its sound with Piano Reality Modeling, with unlimited polyphony for solo piano playing. The keyboard combines hammer action, escapement, long key pivots, Ivory Feel key surfaces and haptic key vibration. The damper, soft and sostenuto pedals detect position continuously, so half-pedaling is supported.
Sound comes from a four-way, eight-speaker system with a dedicated centre channel. Six ambience types and an 11-step depth setting shape the room, and headphone use has its own ambience processing. Piano Designer adjusts individual notes, resonances, temperament and string tuning, and settings can be saved as presets. The lid can be set open or closed and a touch blackout panel hides the controls. The unit ships in two boxes.
A stereo mini input, two 1/4-inch outputs, two headphone jacks, a USB computer port (MIDI/audio) and a USB memory port cover wiring. Bluetooth 5.0 supports audio streaming and MIDI over Bluetooth LE for the Roland Piano App and other music apps. It also has a recorder, metronome, Twin Piano mode, split and dual modes, and 394 internal songs.
