The 3010 is a small two-way bookshelf speaker in a reflex cabinet. It pairs a 25mm concentric ring dome tweeter, decoupled from the cabinet so bass-unit vibration does not reach it, with a 100mm bass unit that uses an aramid fibre and paper cone. The crossover uses upgraded components and the cabinet is built to be stiffer with lower resonance than the previous generation.
It works for stereo music and for home cinema. Adding a centre speaker and subwoofer from the same range (the 3090C and 3070S are named as a close match) builds a surround system, and two pairs of 3010s with a centre and subwoofer make a 5.1 package. The speakers can sit on dedicated stands or be wall mounted with matching brackets.
Connection is by passive speaker cable from an amplifier or receiver. The speakers come with magnetic grills, port bungs, rubber grips and a user manual, and are offered in Graphite, Walnut, Gloss Black, Gloss White and Leather finishes.
