prophecy7

The prophecy7 is a compact floorstanding three-way speaker. A 2"/55mm soft-dome midrange driver sits in a waveguide specific to the prophecy range, so the 5"/125mm bass unit and the 1"/27mm soft-dome tweeter each cover a narrower band. A hand-built crossover joins the three drivers at 0.6kHz and 3.1kHz.

Bass loading uses PMC's Advanced Transmission Line, with an effective length of 1.91m (6.3ft), combined with the LaminairX airflow technology. The bass driver is a custom LTXL mineral cone on a cast alloy chassis. Stated frequency response is 40Hz to 20kHz (-3dB), with 88dB sensitivity and a 6 ohm impedance.

The speaker is passive and connects to an external amplifier through one pair of satin nickel 4mm binding posts. Recommended amplifier power is 25 to 250W. The cabinet stands 965mm tall, plus 20mm spikes, and weighs 23.7kg each. A quick set-up guide, brochure and outer dimensions drawing are available as downloads.
