The PMC12 XBD is a dual-cabinet active main monitor system. Each side consists of a master three-way cabinet and a SUBxbd bass cabinet, both using Advanced Transmission Line loading with Laminair venting. The master cabinet carries a 34mm soft-dome tweeter and a 75mm PMC75v3 mid-range driver, both working with the n-compass waveguide for controlled dispersion.
Low frequencies come from two in-house designed 12-inch drivers per side. They use double-stacked magnets, three-inch three-layer voice coils and suspensions intended to keep motor force linear over long excursions. Each channel is driven by a master36 rack-mount DSP and amplifier unit delivering 800W to the high- and mid-frequency drivers and 1000W to each bass driver, 3.6kW in total.
The master36 provides crossovers, driver protection and room alignment EQ through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface, reached over wired Ethernet from a PC or Mac. It accepts analogue and digital inputs up to 192kHz. Vertical and horizontal system variants are listed, and the model is currently in production with a waitlist open.
