PMC10 XBD

The PMC10 XBD pairs a complete PMC10 three-way cabinet with an identical second cabinet fitted only with the bass driver. The two 10-inch bass drivers are connected in parallel, which raises power handling and low-frequency headroom for stereo and immersive monitoring in tracking rooms, mix rooms, film and TV post-production, mastering and streaming facilities. The cabinets can be stacked vertically or horizontally as freestanding units, or installed side by side in a soffit.

The main cabinet holds a hand-built 34mm soft-dome tweeter and the PMC75v3 midrange driver, which uses a-void damping and an n-compass waveguide on a rotatable panel for vertical or horizontal placement. Bass loading is ATL with LaminairX vents, and an illuminated logo shows system status.

Both cabinets are driven by a rack-mountable PMC master36 DSP/amplifier unit using Class-D amplification, 3.6kW in total. Its DSP provides digital crossovers, excursion limiting and room-alignment EQ. It accepts analogue and digital inputs and is controlled over a standard LAN through the browser-based SoundAlign2 interface. The system is listed as currently in production, with a waitlist open.
