The Xio 25 combines a 25-key semi-weighted keyboard with a one-part, eight-voice polyphonic synthesizer. The synth has three oscillators offering 17 waveforms, two LFOs with 32 waveforms, a multimode resonant filter section and extensive modulation. An arpeggiator with a latch function is included, and the onboard patches were created by or with artists and sound designers.
Playing and tweaking are handled by seven selectable velocity curves, a rubberised pitch wheel with centre return, a rubberised mod/control lever, and a touch-sensitive X/Y touchpad measuring 45x60mm with two assignable parameters on each axis. A two-line, 16-character LCD with blue LED backlighting shows settings.
The synth output can be streamed directly into a computer over USB, and the unit also works as a USB audio interface. Drivers, user guides and other downloads are offered on the maker's downloads page for the model.
