Lýsing

The U 77 is a switchable studio microphone from Neumann's historical range. It follows the same idea as the U 87: a solid-state replacement for the classic U 67 tube microphone, without the tube electronics.

The main difference from the U 87 is how it is powered. At the time of its release, phantom power had not become a studio standard, so the U 77 was built to work with T-power supplied through the microphone lead, which is why it is described as the lead-powering model.

The product is listed among Neumann's historical microphones. The available information covers its background and powering concept only; detailed technical data, diagrams and accessories are provided in separate sections that are not reproduced here.
