The XR8i uses a two-way hybrid driver design. A dynamic woofer, based on a custom dual magnet driver with a downward-firing layout, handles low frequencies, while a balanced armature tweeter covers the highs. The combined driver is designated KG-2365 AcuPass.
The housing is made from die-cast zinc with a co-molded elastomer. Four pairs of oval ear tips are included for fit. A three-button remote with a microphone is built into the cable for call handling and playback control.
A carrying case and a clothing clip are supplied with the headphones. The product carries a one-year warranty.
