The Ventura 6 is a two-way sealed-box outdoor loudspeaker from KEF's Ventura Series. It pairs a 25 mm fluid-cooled aluminium tweeter with a 160 mm (6.5 in.) low-frequency driver, with a crossover at 3 kHz. Frequency response is 54 Hz to 20 kHz (±6 dB), sensitivity is 90 dB and nominal impedance is 6 ohms, so it suits amplifiers rated for 10 to 125 watts.
The enclosure is sealed against the weather and certified IP65 by an independent test laboratory. It has been salt spray tested for over 1200 hours and has an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C, which targets installations by pools, on patios, in gardens or on yachts. The grille and mounting bracket are aluminium, the hardware is stainless steel or brass, and 1/4"-20 threaded inserts give several mounting options. The logo can be rotated to suit the speaker's orientation.
The speaker is a passive model with no built-in amplification or wireless connectivity, so it needs a separate amplifier. It is listed in black and sold as a pair. Each speaker weighs 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs).
