Description

The Control HST is a compact on-wall speaker that faces its woofer toward the mounting surface and uses two horizontally splayed aluminum-diaphragm tweeters. Together with a tapered cabinet and a wall bracket that sets the distance from the wall, this layout is intended to reduce the reflections that normally cause peaks and dips in the frequency response of surface-mount speakers, giving a flatter response and a more even sound across a room.

The woofer uses a ceramic metal matrix diaphragm, and the tweeters use treated aluminum diaphragms with neodymium magnets and fluid cooling. The cabinet is fiberglass-reinforced ABS with a painted aluminum grille and is rated IP54, with salt-spray, humidity, temperature and UV resistance, so it can be used outdoors. It is available in black or white.

The speaker can run directly at 8 ohms or from a 70 V or 100 V line through transformer taps. Connection is by a removable locking four-pin euro-block with a parallel loop-through. The included U-bracket mounts on a wall surface only, not on a pole, and an extra M6 point is provided for a safety cable.
