Description
The LINEAR 5 115 F is a passive two-way, bass-reflex cabinet built around a 15" cone driver with a 3" voice coil and a 1" compression driver with a 1.75" voice coil. The crossover point is 1.7 kHz with 12 dB/oct. slopes, and a PTC circuit protects the high-frequency driver. It is rated at 600 W RMS and 1200 W program, with a peak SPL of 135 dB.
A constant-directivity horn is asymmetrical and rotatable. It gives 60°-90° horizontal by 55° vertical dispersion at -6 dB, wider at the front and narrower toward the rear. The cabinet is made of birch plywood and MDF with a black water-enamel finish and a steel grille backed with acoustic foam. It has two MultiGrip handles, a DuoTilt pole mount with 3°/7° angles and three M8 rigging points.
Connection is through two NL4 Speakon sockets, one input and one parallel output. Presets and filter sheets are available for Lab.gruppen IPX and IPD series amplifiers, and DSP presets are offered for other processors. Suggested uses are as a mid/high unit, a stand-alone system or DJ monitoring.
