Description
This is a Flying V solid-body electric guitar based on Gibson's 1984 models. The body and set neck are both mahogany, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck has a SlimTaper profile, an Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 12 inch radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays.
Two 80s Tribute pickups sit in the neck and bridge positions and are switched with a 3-way toggle. Controls are two volumes and a master tone, hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. Hardware includes an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum stop bar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuners with contemporary buttons.
The guitar connects through a single 1/4 inch output jack. It comes with a hardshell case and the Gibson Accessory Kit, and is strung with .010 to .046 gauge strings. This listing is the Ebony finish of the 80s Flying V line; the model code shown on the page is DSVE00CWCH1.
