The F One is a small active subwoofer in a die-cast aluminium enclosure. It has a 165 mm magnetically shielded bass driver powered by a 40 W Class D amplifier. Its response runs from 35 Hz to 85 Hz (-6 dB), with a short-term maximum SPL of at least 100 dB. Room response controls and bass management let you adjust the bass to the room, and the main speakers can then leave the lowest frequencies to the sub.

The unit works as the connection hub for a home audio system. It has analogue, optical and coaxial digital inputs, detects the active input automatically, and has analogue outputs for passing signal on to the main speakers. A wireless remote control sets the system volume. The sub can also learn IR remote commands and supports an optional wired volume control.

Internal protection circuitry limits the output when the driver nears its safe limits. Intelligent Signal Sensing puts the unit into a sleep state drawing 0.5 W or less when no signal is present, and a switch on the back panel disables it. The F One comes in black and white versions.
