The Stereo Talking Machine is a digital vocal formant filter in pedal form. An envelope follower reacts to playing dynamics and moves a set of filters, producing vowel-like sounds such as AH-OO and OW-EE, as well as Bassballs and wah-type sweeps. Nine voices are selectable, and each can be shaped with Attack and Decay controls. Sensitivity sets the input level at which the filters start to move and allows both upward and downward sweeps.
Nine preset locations store and recall programs. The preset encoder scrolls through memories, a press-and-hold saves a preset, and the preset footswitch loads the selected one or, when held, opens auxiliary knob editing. A Blend control sets the wet/dry balance.
The pedal has mono/left and right outputs for stereo rigs, plus a send/return effects loop that places other pedals on the filter section without altering the envelope follower's response to the instrument. An expression pedal input allows manual filter sweeps in the manner of a wah. A power adapter is included. Production ended in 2022.
