Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi 2

The Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi 2 is an analog fuzz for bass built around a Big Muff circuit with two dual op-amps. It keeps the midrange-heavy character and long sustain of the Big Muff family, and adds Volume, Tone and Sustain controls plus a Blend knob that sets the mix between clean and fuzzed signal, and a Gate knob for the noise gate.

A footswitchable Crossover section splits the signal in two. A high-pass filter (115 Hz to 1 kHz) feeds the fuzz circuit and a low-pass filter (60 Hz to 10 kHz) acts only on the dry signal, so the fuzz can sit on top of an unaffected low end. A separate input switch gives 0 dB or -10 dB attenuation for active pickups.

Besides the standard input and output jacks, there is an XLR DI output carrying the effected signal and a Direct Out with a buffered copy of the clean bass. Both footswitches have latching and momentary behavior: a press and hold of more than half a second returns the pedal to its previous state on release. The pedal uses buffered bypass and runs from the supplied power adapter.
