Description

This pedal is a take on the op-amp Big Muff Pi circuit from the 1970s. It has its own voice, distinct from the classic Big Muff Pi, with long sustain and a high amount of gain. VOL, TONE and SUSTAIN knobs work as on the original.

Two switches extend the tonal range. The TONE switch removes the tone circuitry from the signal path for an unfiltered, full-range fuzz. The three-position WICKER switch (OFF, HALF, FULL) opens up the high-frequency response in two steps, which is most useful at lower TONE settings. With WICKER off, the pedal sounds like a standard Big Muff Pi 2.

The soft footswitch is latching by default; holding it for more than half a second gives momentary operation, which can be disabled. When bypassed, the pedal uses buffered bypass. It runs from a 9V battery (included) or an optional 9VDC center-negative adapter, and has a mono input and output.
