The S3000 Pro is a pair of powered speakers with a dual-main design: each cabinet has its own acoustic crossover management and amplification, so left and right channels are handled independently. Drivers are planar diaphragm tweeters and a 6.5-inch (179 mm) bass unit, and the speakers carry a Hi-Res certification.
Signal handling is fully digital. A PCM5242 DAC, an XMOS xCore u216 16-core processor and a TI DSP chip (TLV320AIC3268) handle conversion, processing and electronic frequency division between treble, mid and bass in each speaker. The digital interface accepts up to 24-bit/192 kHz PCM and SPDIF material.
Sources connect through line-in, balanced XLR, USB, optical, coaxial or Bluetooth. Bluetooth 5.0 uses a Qualcomm CSR8675 chipset with aptX HD decoding at 24-bit/48 kHz, and a KLEERNET wireless link between the speakers lets them be placed without a connecting cable. A Windows driver and user manual are available for download.
