The Diamond Jubilee MC is a low-output moving-coil cartridge whose body is made of zirconium oxide, a very hard and rigid material chosen to damp resonances. The body is manufactured to tolerances of up to 0.001 mm.
The generator carries over ideas from the Goldfinger Statement V2.1: very thin 24-carat gold coil wire and an integrated high-frequency shield first used in the Goldfinger Statement V1. A revised magnet layout with strong neodymium magnets, reworked coil geometry and a redesigned cantilever set at an optimised angle are meant to improve dynamics, resolution and tracking accuracy. The stylus is a boron cantilever with a Micro-HD diamond in the clearaudio Prime Line PLUS profile.
Channel separation is above 35 dB and channel balance is better than 0.15 dB. Output is 0.6 to 0.65 mV at 5 cm/s with a 50 Ω system impedance, so it needs an MC-capable phono input or step-up stage. The cartridge is supplied under an acrylic pyramid cover, and the maker gives a 2-year warranty when the warranty card is returned within 14 days of purchase.
