Description

FiiO DP11 – Compact CD Transport with Built-In DAC

The DP11 is a desktop-sized CD player for people who still buy discs and want them to sit properly in a modern system. It works three ways: as a pure transport feeding an external DAC over AES/EBU, coaxial or optical, as a complete player through its own Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC, and as a USB DAC for a computer or phone.

Key Features

  • Three digital outputs: AES/EBU, coaxial and optical let the DP11 act as a clean transport for whatever DAC you already trust.
  • Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC: Drives the stereo RCA output when you want the DP11 to be the whole source, no extra boxes needed.
  • Pre-amplifier mode: The line output can connect straight to active speakers or a power amplifier.
  • USB DAC input: Accepts PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256 from a computer, phone or tablet, and passes MQA bitstream to the digital outputs.
  • CD ripping to USB: Plug in a flash drive and copy discs to lossless WAV without a computer.
  • Quiet, isolated design: A silent-mechanism bracket keeps tray noise down, and the servo, digital and analogue stages run from separate power supplies.

Customer Benefits

Most budget CD players make you choose between a transport and a player. The DP11 does both, so it can start as an all-in-one source on a desk and stay useful when you later add a better DAC or amplifier. The separate power rails borrow from FiiO's S15 streamer design to keep mains noise and crosstalk out of the signal, and the 12 V DC input leaves room for an external linear supply. The front-loading tray, amber display and infrared remote keep day-to-day use simple.

Ideal For

CD collectors building a compact desk system, owners of a separate DAC who need a quiet transport, and anyone who wants to archive their discs to lossless files.

Pros & Cons

  • ✅ Transport, full player and USB DAC in one compact chassis
  • ✅ AES/EBU output is rare at this size and price
  • ✅ Rips CDs to WAV with no computer involved
  • ⚠️ No headphone output, so it needs an amplifier, active speakers or a separate headphone amp
  • ⚠️ No SACD playback, Bluetooth or network streaming

Final Word

The DP11 treats CD as a format worth doing properly without asking for a big rack or a big budget.
