The ZUM-2 is a plug-and-play USB microphone using a back electret condenser capsule with a supercardioid pickup pattern, which favours sound from the front and reduces room noise. It records at 24-bit resolution with sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz, and needs no drivers or additional software on Mac or PC.
A 3.5 mm headphone output on the mic lets the user monitor their own voice together with computer audio, with a dedicated volume knob for adjusting the headphone level. The output delivers 110 mW + 110 mW into a 32 Ω load.
The mic connects over USB Type-C and is bus powered. The package includes a TPS-4 folding desktop tripod, a pivoting stand mount, a foam windscreen and a 2-meter USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
