The G5n is a guitar multi-effects processor with a built-in expression pedal, four stompbox-style footswitches and a dedicated tap tempo switch. Up to nine effects can be chained in any order, and 200 patches can be stored and recalled from the footswitches.
Onboard tools include a chromatic tuner, a stereo/mono looper with up to 80 seconds of recording, 68 rhythm patterns and an output booster. Amp and cabinet emulation allows direct connection to a PA system or audio interface. The free Guitar Lab software for Mac and Windows edits effects, backs up patches and adds new content.
Connections are a guitar input, a stereo aux input, two outputs for mono or stereo use, a headphone output and a control input for an external pedal. A USB port handles firmware updates, patch downloads and USB audio with direct monitoring.
