The B3n combines stompbox-style effects, bass amp models and matching cabinet models in one unit. Up to seven effects, amps and cabinets can be chained in any order, and 150 of these chains can be stored as patches. The amp and cabinet parameters are adjusted with the front-panel knobs, and three separate LCD screens show the whole chain at once.
For practice and performance there are 68 rhythm patterns, a stereo/mono looper with up to 80 seconds of recording, tap tempo for syncing the looper, rhythms and delay effects, and a chromatic tuner that can bypass or mute the signal. Three stompbox switches bring effects in and out.
A 1/4" instrument input is joined by a 3.5 mm stereo aux input for phones or players. Two outputs serve mono or stereo connection to bass amps, PA systems or interfaces, and a headphone output is built in. An FP02M expression pedal can be added through the control input. USB MIDI connects to a computer running Guitar Lab software for Mac and Windows, which handles patch editing, backup and extra effects and amp/cabinet downloads.
