The B1Xon is a floor-based bass processor covering distortion, compression, modulation, delay and reverb. Up to five effects can run together and be ordered freely. A built-in expression pedal can control input level, output level or a chosen effect parameter, and five of the effects are pedal-controlled types such as wah or filtering.
Patches are stored in 100 memory locations arranged as 10 banks of 10. Swap helps reorganise them, Auto Save stores parameter changes automatically, and Pre Select allows a patch to be chosen silently while the current one keeps playing. A chromatic tuner supports standard bass tunings, and the looper records up to 30 seconds of CD-quality audio, with 68 rhythm patterns available to play along with.
The bass connects to a 1/4" input suited to active and passive instruments. A 1/8" aux input takes a personal music player, and a single stereo 1/4" output feeds an amp or headphones. The unit runs on four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, and a USB port provides power and firmware updates.
