The WEEBILL 5 is a handheld camera gimbal in which the handgrip is part of the body. It uses a third-generation quick-change kit to move between Standard, Handgrip and Extension Pole modes, which covers regular, low-angle and overhead shots. A three-position switch lets the operator change gimbal modes by feel, and each mode can be set up with its own handling parameters.
Subject tracking relies on an in-house AI vision module that follows people, vehicles, pets and objects at up to 10 m. A target is locked in about 0.2 s or less, and tracking resumes within 10 s after the subject is blocked. A subject can be selected with a trigger press, a box drawn on the screen, or hand gestures. Control is through a 1.8" touchscreen, with the joystick and record button placed at the centre of the layout. The gimbal also has a built-in fill light with adjustable colour temperature and native portrait mode.
The dual-layer quick-release plate has an Arca-Swiss compatible upper plate and a fore/aft fine-adjustment knob, so a camera can be balanced without re-levelling. Both sides of the handle's pan axis carry 1/4" expansion ports for lights, microphones and monitors. Rated battery life is up to 9 hours.
