Dirty Boy “Preamp” Style Overdrive Pedal

The Dirty Boy Jr. Overdrive is a pedalboard-sized recreation of the boutique Dirty Boy Preamp, developed with the original maker. It uses an all-analog Tube Amp Emulation (T.A.E.) circuit to give touch-sensitive response, tube-style harmonic saturation and dynamic cleanup. It can be used as an overdrive, as a preamp or as a standalone amp simulator.

Gain, Tone, Volume and Variac controls cover a range from transparent boost to saturated vintage-style breakup. The suggested uses include low-gain sparkle, mid-gain amp-like drive, edge-of-breakup tones and cranked amp sounds. The pedal has true bypass switching and a road-ready build.

A speaker-emulated, balanced-style output lets the pedal connect directly to mixers, audio interfaces, front-of-house systems and FRFR speakers without a guitar amp in the signal path.
