Centavo Overdrive

Centavo is a compact analog overdrive pedal that recreates the classic Klon Centaur-style circuit. It suits guitarists who want a transparent boost, edge-of-breakup drive or a saturated rhythm tone from a three-knob pedal.

  • Recreation of the Klon Centaur-style overdrive circuit
  • Three-knob control layout
  • Rear MOD switch extends bass response
  • Works as clean boost, overdrive or drive stacker
  • Available in gold, silver and black finishes
  • Separate Centavo Mod high-headroom version available

Description

Centavo is built as a faithful recreation of a much-sought-after vintage overdrive. It works as an always-on clean boost that sweetens a tone when the gain is kept low and the output is set to taste, and it can also be pushed into edge-of-breakup overdrive or saturated rhythm tones at higher gain settings.

A MOD switch on the back extends the bass response, which adds low-end drive on the lower strings. The same feature was requested by Jeff Beck on the original pedal. The pedal can also be placed in front of another drive to push it harder, or used to drive mid-gain overdrive tones.

The pedal is offered in gold, silver and black finishes. A manual and product registration are available from the maker, and a separate Centavo Mod model exists as a compact high-headroom version.
