Opis

Iridium is a 16-voice, duo-timbral digital synthesizer that uses the same engine as the Waldorf Quantum. Each of its three oscillators can run in one of five modes: Wavetable, Waveform (virtual analog), Particle (sampling and granular), Resonator or Kernels. Kernel mode splits an oscillator into up to six sub-oscillators that can be linked through audio-rate FM. Every voice has three stereo filters: two in the Dual Filter section and one in the Digital Former, which adds comb, drive, bitcrusher and ring modulation models.

Modulation comes from six envelopes, six LFOs and a Komplex Modulator with a user-drawn shape, routed through a 40-slot mod matrix. Main parameters have dedicated knobs, and the rest are reached through a colour touch screen and seven encoders. A 4×4 RGB pad matrix plays notes, chords, arpeggios and sequences of up to 32 steps. Over 1000 factory sounds are included, 7000 patch slots are available, and patches are exchangeable with the Quantum.

The rear panel has two unbalanced TS outputs, two TS inputs, a headphone output with gain control, DIN MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB MIDI and a USB host port. Four CV inputs, Gate In, Trigger In, Clock In and Clock Out cover modular and sync use. A MicroSD slot handles patch transfer. The housing is metal with aluminum knobs and has a VESA 75 mount on the bottom.
