Iridium Core is a compact hardware synthesizer built around the same engine used in the Quantum and Iridium line. It offers five synthesis engines: Wavetable, Multi- and Granular-Sampling, Waveform, Kernel FM and Resonator. These are paired with a range of digital filters and processing options and operated through a graphical interface.
The unit ships with more than 1700 factory presets and samples. Its small footprint lets it fit into laptop-sized bags and tabletop setups, which makes it practical for travel and for gigs with limited space.
It is designed to work alongside modular synths, drum machines, sequencers and computers. Because it runs the same Waldorf synthesiser OS as Quantum, Iridium Desktop and Iridium Keyboard, it receives the same joint software updates as the rest of that family.
