710 Twin-Finity

The 710 Twin-Finity is a single-channel preamp built around two parallel signal paths: a Class-A tube stage running at 310 volts and a transimpedance solid-state stage. The two are phase-aligned, and a blend control moves continuously from fully tube to fully solid-state. Two gain stages let the tone range from clean, wire-with-gain behaviour to heavier saturation.
The front panel carries a Hi-Z instrument input based on a discrete JFET DI stage, which is selected automatically when a jack is plugged in. Controls include 15 dB pad, polarity invert, 48 V phantom power and a 75 Hz low cut filter, with backlit VU meters for output level and drive. Gain reaches more than 70 dB.
On the rear are an XLR mic input, an XLR line input and a balanced XLR line output fed by a monolithic output stage. The unit has a universal internal power supply and a metal chassis, and is supplied with a 19-inch rack kit for rack use, as well as being usable on a desktop.
