Touch-sensitive ribbon controller for adding pitch bend, vibrato and modulation sweeps to a performance. It suits players of synths and modular systems that have an expression pedal input, or those using the matching Eurorack receiver module.

The RBN-1 is a 581 mm long ribbon strip with a soft-touch, low-friction surface that registers both broad sweeps and small vibrato movements. Its adaptive bend behaviour lets a played note be bent across several octaves, depending on the note that was originally played.
It connects to any device with an expression pedal input, using a 3.5mm TRS plug or a 6.35mm TRS plug via the supplied adapter. With the UDO Super 6 and Super 8 it uses the maker's pitch expression method, which bends only the notes currently held and leaves sustained sounds and reverb tails untouched. For Eurorack, the separate RBN-1-C receiver module adds two-touch control through CV / Gate outputs and a live looper with trig input.
The housing is milled aluminium, with a non-slip rubber base and magnets for attaching to any metal surface. The strip is wired to a 1.2m cable.
