TD 204

The TD 204 is a belt-driven turntable built around a die-cast aluminium platter turned by a precision-ground belt. The plinth sits on four vibration-damping feet to limit unwanted resonance, and it is offered in high-gloss black or high-gloss walnut.

It uses the TP 120 tonearm, a true 9-inch J-shaped aluminium design with an effective mass of just over 15 grams. Modern bearings keep play and friction low for its price class. The headshell is detachable and uses an SME-type connector, and it arrives fitted with an Audio-Technica AT95E cartridge, so the cartridge can be swapped later. Anti-skating is set by a spring mechanism.

On the rear panel are RCA outputs for connecting to an amplifier. The built-in MM phono preamplifier can be switched on or off, so the turntable can feed either a phono input or a line-level input directly.
