Master X HD-DT

MASTER X HD is a multiband dynamics plug-in for single sources, buses and master mixes. Each band has its own expander, compressor and limiter, and the algorithms include a built-in soft clipping feature. The design draws on the earlier MASTER X for Pro Tools, the POWERCORE platform and the dynamics technology of the Finalizer software ecosystem.

Overall character is set with target curves: flat, bass-emphasising, air-adding or the classic smiley curve. These act as global processing styles across all bands and algorithm blocks, giving a quick starting point for both experienced and newer users. A bank of presets from producers and engineers, plus settings tailored to specific purposes, is included.

The HD-DT version adds a desktop hardware controller. It gives hands-on access to the sound-defining parameters of the expansion, compression and limiting stages and shows signal and dynamics feedback on its own display. The plug-in supports all modern plug-in standards, so DAW automation and project recall work, and it pairs with the BRICKWALL HD limiter in a mastering chain.
