Opis
The 214ce is a Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric with a solid torrefied spruce top and a layered, two-piece walnut back and sides. The roasted spruce is described as combining clear, balanced projection with some added warmth, and C-Class bracing is used for more volume, longer sustain and stronger low end. The body has a Venetian cutaway and a matte finish throughout, with white binding and a three-ring white plastic rosette.
The neck is Neo-Tropical mahogany with a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard, a standard carve, a 25-1/2" scale and a 1-11/16" nut. It is a bolt-on neck, and the guitar is built in Taylor's Tecate, Mexico factory. Strings are D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze lights (.012 - .053).
Amplification is handled by the built-in Expression System 2, an active behind-the-saddle pickup system, so the guitar can be plugged in directly. There is no onboard tuner. A tan structured gig bag is included, and a left-handed version can be ordered at no extra charge.
