The 150ce is a right-handed 12-string built on Taylor's dreadnought body, which gives a strong low end and plenty of volume for strumming and flatpicking. The top is solid torrefied Sitka spruce, paired with layered sapele back and sides in a matte finish. A Venetian cutaway eases access to the upper frets.

The neck is neo-tropical mahogany with an ebony fretboard and the patented Taylor Neck, in a slim profile meant to make holding chords and notes easier on a 12-string. C-Class bracing is used, and the guitar ships with D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze light strings (.010-.047). Hardware includes a Tusq nut, a Micarta saddle, an ebony bridge and chrome tuners.

For amplification it carries Expression System 2 electronics, which use a behind-the-saddle pickup design. It is made in Taylor's Tecate, Mexico factory and comes with a gig bag. A left-handed version can be ordered through authorized retailers, and a hard case is sold separately.
