The 110ce is a right-handed Dreadnought-shaped acoustic-electric in Taylor's 100 series. It combines a torrefied spruce top with layered sapele back and sides, a combination intended to give clear projection while keeping the construction durable. The body has a Venetian cutaway for access to the upper frets, black body binding and a black pickguard, and uses C-Class bracing. All surfaces carry a varnish finish.

The neck is mahogany or maple with an ebony or eucalyptus fretboard, depending on availability. Dot inlays are 4mm Italian acrylic, the scale length is 25-1/2", and the neck is described by Taylor staff as a soft C carve with a 15" radius and a 1-11/16" nut width. The bridge is ebony, with a Tusq nut and Micarta saddle, and the guitar ships with D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze medium strings.

Plugged-in sound comes from Taylor's Expression System 2, a behind-the-saddle design, with the battery compartment below the endpin. A soft gig bag is included. The model is built in Taylor's Tecate, Mexico factory.
