The US-122MKII is a compact two-channel USB audio interface. It has two XLR microphone inputs with phantom power for condenser mics, a pair of balanced 1/4" line inputs and a guitar-level input for recording electric guitar or bass directly. Audio is sent to the computer as a stereo signal at up to 96 kHz and 24-bit resolution.
On the monitoring side, it offers zero-latency monitoring so the performer can hear the input without the round trip through the computer. Stereo RCA line outputs feed monitors, and a front-mounted 1/4" stereo jack serves headphones. 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output connect synths and drum machines. The housing uses metal components for portable use.
The interface connects to Mac or Windows computers over USB 2.0 and takes its power from the USB bus, so no separate power supply is needed. It ships with Steinberg Cubase LE recording software. The model is discontinued and has been succeeded by the US-2x2HR.
