The LA-40MKIII is a line converter that bridges unbalanced and balanced audio equipment. Four channels take unbalanced RCA inputs and deliver balanced XLR outputs, while another four channels take balanced XLR inputs and deliver unbalanced RCA outputs.
Each channel has a trim control for fine level adjustment of ±12 dB and a Signal Present LED. Levels are selectable per channel: the balanced side works at +4 dBu or -20 dBu, and the unbalanced side at -10 dBV. A Ground Lift switch is provided for each channel, and an All Lift switch disconnects the ground connections for the whole unit. An earth terminal is also fitted.
The unit is built in a 19-inch format, 44 mm high and 280 mm deep, and weighs 3 kg. It is listed under installation products for conference rooms, classrooms and auditoriums. Manuals and a DXF line drawing are available from the maker's documents section.
