Cur síos

The iXR combines two microphone preamps, a direct guitar input, two balanced line outputs and a headphone output in a solid aluminium case. Recording is supported at 16 or 24 bit and sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz. The mic/line inputs take XLR or balanced TRS plugs and can supply +48V phantom power, with a 57 dB gain range. Zero-latency direct monitoring can be switched between mono and stereo, the line output can carry either the monitor mix or the computer signal, and unused channels can be muted to remove noise.

It connects to computers over USB 2.0 and is USB audio 2.0 compliant. It is bus powered from a computer. For iOS devices it is MFi certified and connects directly, powered from a USB adapter, a mobile battery or an external AA battery pack. Windows uses ASIO 2.0 and WDM drivers, and Mac uses Core Audio and Core MIDI. Operation has been confirmed with several major DAW applications, including Pro Tools, Cubase, Live, Studio One, GarageBand and Logic Pro.

A 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output let it work with keyboards and other MIDI devices. Knob guards protect the controls in transit, and separate level controls serve the line and headphone outputs. A Cubase LE 8 licence card and a licence for removing the restrictions of the Cubasis LE demo are included. A bundled TRACKPACK variant adds a microphone and accessories.
