GT-R1

The GT-R1 combines a handheld stereo recorder with an instrument trainer. It records through built-in condenser microphones or a 1/4" instrument input for guitar or bass, saving MP3 or WAV files at up to 48kHz/24-bit. A powered microphone input is also provided, and the input stage has a low cut filter and an analog limiter.

For playing and practice it offers amp simulation, reverb and multi-effects, more than 80 rhythm tracks in a variety of styles, and an overdub function for recording over an existing track. Playback can be looped and slowed down without changing the pitch, which helps with learning and transcribing music. A guitar and bass canceller lets the player perform along with existing material.

Recordings are stored on an SD card, and a 1GB card and a rechargeable battery are supplied. A USB 2.0 connection to a computer handles file transfer and charging. The optional AK-DR1 accessory pack adds a tabletop stand, a microphone clip and a windscreen.
