DV-RA1000HD

The DV-RA1000HD is a two-track recorder for final mixes and masters. It captures stereo audio as WAV files from 44.1kHz to 192kHz at up to 24-bit, or as DSD, and the analog converters handle DSD recording without extra hardware. Recording goes to the internal 60GB hard drive or to CD and DVD media, and discs can be created from playlists stored on the hard drive. Formats include standard CD-DA, Broadcast Wave and DSDIFF.

WAV material can be processed before burning with a built-in 3-band EQ and multiband compression/limiting. Other functions include ±6% pitch control, fade in/out, jog playback, power-on play, auto track increment, auto cue, auto ready, single and continuous play and program A/B play. The unit has a large backlit LCD, user-definable function keys, a dedicated input level control, an adjustable maximum output level and a headphone output. A wired remote, the RC-RA1000, is supplied for punch-in.

The rear panel offers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog I/O, AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital I/O, SDIF-3/DSD RAW on BNC, and word sync in, out and thru. A USB 2.0 port lets the unit act as a DVD data drive for a computer, RS-232C allows serial control, and a PS/2 keyboard connector is provided for title editing.
