DR-2dw

The DR-2dw is a pearlescent white edition of the DR-2d handheld digital recorder. It captures audio through a stereo condenser microphone with an improved signal-to-noise ratio and records to SD or SDHC cards in WAV format up to 96kHz/24-bit, or in MP3 modes. Dual recording writes a second copy of the audio at a lower level, so a usable take remains if the main track overloads.

Input handling includes a limiter, low cut filter and auto gain control, plus an auto-recording function that starts when the input passes a set level. Internal effects include reverb. For practice and review there is a metronome, loop playback, and Variable Speed Audition, which changes playback speed without altering pitch. A built-in speaker and a 128x64 backlit LCD are fitted.

For connections, the recorder has a 1/8" stereo microphone input, a 1/8" stereo line input, a 1/8" stereo headphone output and a USB 2.0 port for file transfer. It runs on two AA batteries or the optional PS-P520 power adapter, and has a tripod screw hole. A wireless remote control, 2GB SD card, AA batteries and a carrying pouch are supplied.
