The DR-07MKII is a pocket-sized stereo recorder with a built-in unidirectional microphone pair that can be switched between A-B and X-Y positions. It records WAV/BWF at 44.1, 48 or 96kHz with 16 or 24-bit depth, or MP3 at bit rates from 32 to 320kbps, in stereo or mono, onto microSD or microSDHC cards up to 32GB.
For tailoring the signal it offers a three-step low-cut filter (40, 80 or 120Hz), six reverb-style effect presets (hall, room, studio, plate) and a chromatic tuner with adjustable reference pitch. Playback speed can be changed from 0.5 to 1.5 times without changing the file for 44.1 and 48kHz material, and a small mono speaker allows checking takes without headphones.
An external source connects through a 3.5mm stereo mini input that supplies plug-in power, while a single 3.5mm jack serves as headphone and line output. A mini-B USB 2.0 port links it to a computer and can also power it; otherwise it runs on two AA batteries or an optional AC adapter. A 1/4 inch tripod thread is built in.
