The DR-07 is a pocket-sized portable digital recorder with a built-in stereo electret condenser microphone. It stores audio on SD or SD-HC cards and ships with a 2GB card. Files can be written as WAV at 44.1 or 48kHz in 16 or 24-bit, or as MP3 at bitrates from 32kbps to 320kbps.
Input handling includes a switchable low cut filter, an analog limiter and an auto gain setting. A variable-speed audition function plays material back slower without changing its pitch, which is useful for learning parts by ear.
A 3.5mm stereo mic input and a 3.5mm stereo line input and output allow external sources and monitoring. A USB 2.0 jack transfers files to a computer. Power comes from two AA batteries (included) or from the optional PS-P520 power adapter. The unit measures 2.2" W x 5.3" L x 1.1" H and weighs 4.4 oz with batteries. The maker lists it as discontinued, replaced by the DR-07XP.
